Sander White age 45 loved husband and best friend of Elaine. Doting father of Cody and Landyn. Cherished son of the late Howard (Sonny) and Carol White. Admired brother of Cameron (Karen) White and Sydney (Dan) DesJardin. Sander will be fondly remembered by his nieces, Stephanie, Taylor and Niki, his nephew Cole and many friends. Sander was an adventurous man who lived life to the fullest! He was a wonderful, protective husband and a most loving (doting) father. He was a man of honour and integrity and was loved by everyone. Sander never compromised his values and went out of his way to help others. Sander had a witty sense of humour, capturing the attention of young people. Sander loved his family and was like a second father to his nieces (3) and nephew. Dogs were one of the loves of his life.

MOVEMBER
Mo-Bro’s and Mo-Sister’s!
Moustache Season is upon us, so I've registered for Movember to embrace the hair of the wild. I've pledged to cultivate a genuine 100% face grown moustache for 30 days to raise awareness and funds for men's health, specifically prostate cancer.
Now, I'm on the hunt for trusty and fearless pioneers to join me by signing up for team BARRIE FIRE!. Together we can change the face of men's health.
This will be team Barrie Fire’s 3rd year participating and I am proud to say that we are growing our team and raising more funds each year! Since, we are a registered fire department team we are in a specific network competing against other fire department teams across Canada! Last year our network raised over $100,000!
As more people become Citizens of Movember, the more lives will be impacted. You can grow a moustache as a Mo Bro, or join as a Mo Sista to show your support and help recruit other Mo growers to the team.
Once registered, Movember will send you all the information you need to start raising awareness and funds for men's health as part of my Movember team.

BPFFA Supports Infant Development Program
The Barrie Fire Fighters have been a wonderful community partner for a number of families supported through the Infant Development Program.
Through our outcomes process with families many needs are identified and when these needs are not covered through government funds Infant Development Workers have been proactive and looked to our community for funds to assist these families.
The Barrie Fire Fighters responded to this call through their Community Projects Fund and have provided financial support to many families across Simcoe County to cover a variety of needs.
Families have used these funds to purchase private Intensive Behaviour Therapy, private Speech therapy, to cover costs incurred through travel to the Hospital for Sick Children, to provide household items such as a baby gate for the fireplace, groceries, and monthly rent payment. They have also provided funds to purchase a community park bench in memory of a child.
A huge thank-you goes out to the Barrie Fire Fighters Association, not only from the Simcoe County Infant Development Program and Simcoe Community Services but especially from the families and their infants who have benefited from their tremendous generosity.

F Division CHAMPS
The guys played a great tournament going 5 - 0. In the championship game against Philadelphia, after coming out of the penalty box, Jody Fieghan scored the winning goal. Scored with a 4 on 3 man advantage with 14 seconds left in the second overtime. The excitement of playing down to a 1 on 1 would have been interesting .
This was our 3 rd tournament win in 16 years. We first entered one team in 1996. We won the E division in 2000. We entered two teams in 2004 and the Barrie A team won their first year in D division and now this year’s win. This was my first in sixteen years . The only year I have missed was the first championship in 2000 (that’s why they won!)
Thanks goes out for the fan support, moral support and congrats from the Barrie A team, Chief Lynn, Chief Monkman, fellow firefighters, the beer garden and a few parents.
Absent in the photo were Dave G and Jay M. They were unable to make Friday’s playoffs.

M&Ms BBQ Fundraiser for Crohn's and Colitis
BFES attended three locations of M & M and assisted in their BBQ fundraiser for Crohn's and Colitis.
Also, Community Projects donated $500.00 to the cause.
